I love my “Sennheiser HD 280 Pro” phones. Over-the-ear headphones block out the nerds in the cubes next to you and do a good job of drowning out the voices inside your head with pretty good range and zero distortion at high volume. IMHO, they are WAY better than Sony MDR-600’s and they’re cheaper too. I wear mine for a good 6 hours a day and they never become uncomfy (ie, I’m not a sweaty guy, and have never experienced ear sweats, so YMMV).
